Gyeongbok Palace was the main palace during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). It is the most comprehensive and grandest of the five palaces of the Joseon Dynasty. It has a 500 years history. Gyeongbok Palace is 5.4 million square feet and rectangular in shape
Changdeok Palace is composed of the public official space, the king’s residence and the rear garden. Changdeokgung Palace is the only palace that preserves the architectural style of the Joseon Dynasty. The rear garden used to be the king’s resting place where 300-year-old trees, pond and pavilion are harmoniously organized with nature itself.
Deoksu Palace located at the corner of the busiest intersection of downtown Seoul, Deoksugung Palace is, among other things, a palace famous for its elegant stone-wall road. It is the only one that has western buildings beside it, and it adds to the uniqueness of the scenery
National Folk Museum (Royal Museum) houses 4,300 relics from the prehistoric age to the modern times. It has exhibits which illustrate the history of the Korean people, the traditional lifestyle of Korean people and the lifecycle of a Korean from birth to death.
The Blue House the symbol of the Blue House, which is at the center of Korean politics, is the blue tiles. The first thing that catches your eye when you arrive at the Blue House is also the blue tiles of the main building. The blue tiles and the smooth roof are in beautiful harmony with Mt. Bugaksan behind it. As the Blue House represents Korea, the blue tiles and the smooth curve of the roof represents the beauty of Korea.
Namsangol Traditional Korean Village has restored five traditional Korean houses, with a pavilion, a pond and a time capsule which makes it a nice place for a promenade. These houses were rebuilt after the traditional houses of Joseon dynasty. The houses belong to various social ranks of the society from the common peasant to the king. The furniture that suited the owner of the house are displayed inside to help you to understand the daily life of the past.
Jogyesa Temple is the center of Zen Buddhism in Korea and it’s located in the middle of the city. The first thing you will see when you enter inside are the lovely trees. These locust trees and baeksong trees in front of the main temple building, are about 500 years old. Along the street around the temple are many Buddhist specialty shops, selling such things as prayer beads, Buddhist writings, incence, aswell as souvenirs such as dolls and key chains.
Bongeunsa Temple is located to the north of COEX building, and was constructed in the 10th year of Shilla King Weongseong’s reign (794). In 1498, Queen Jeonghyeon refurbished Gyeonseongsa Temple at the east of King Seongjong’s royal mausoleum and renamed the temple as Bongeunsa. 3,479 Buddhist scriptures of 13 types are stored here. The Buddhist ceremony called Jeongdaebulsa, is held every September 9th of the lunar calendar, where monks march carrying the scriptures on their heads and recite the Beopseongge (Buddhist rites).
COEX Aquarium, which is located in the basement floor of COEX Convention Center, has a world-class aquarium in both size and facilities. It has a water-tunnel where you can see sharks and tropical fishes swim over your head, and is a place sought out by many couples. There are about 40,000 aquatic creatures, which you can view just as if you were actually in the ocean

Opened to the public on October 15, 1980, N-Seoul Tower has been designated as a major tourist attraction where the beautiful panoramic view of Seoul can been seen. The 236.7 meter high was built on the 243m Mt. Namsan has been known as the best tower in Asia. After 30 years of devoted support from tourists, it was remodeled on December 9, 2005 with magnificent new look.
Namdaemun Market, located in the very center of Seoul, is the biggest traditional market in Korea selling children's clothing, men & women's clothing, daily miscellaneous goods, kitchenware and local and imported products. Most shops have their own factories and make the products themselves offering both wholesale and retail prices which enables visitors to purchase various shopping items at an extremely inexpensive price.
Itaewon is the most exotic place (to Koreans) in Seoul, where you can eat, enjoy yourself, and go shopping, all under a ‘fusion’ cultural code.
Insadong and the surrounding area were the residences of Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) officials, extended royal families, and the yangban aristocratic class. The antique art shops that were established here during the Japanese Colonial Period carried everyday items of the privileged class as these items became antiques in the face of modernity.

Korean Folk Village set in a natural environment occupying approximately 243 acres, visitors can experience the natural atmosphere with over 260 traditional houses reminiscent of the late Joseon Dynasty, including various household goods from different regions. All these features have been relocated and restored to provide visitors with a broad understanding of Korean food, clothing, and housing style of the past.
Imjingak, located 7 km from the Military Demarcation Line, is now at the forefront of tourism related to the Korean Conflict. It was built in 1972 with the hope that someday unification would be possible.
The Bridge of the Freedom, South Koreans crossed when they came back to their mother country from North Korea, stands behind Mangbaedan.
Dorasan Station is where the future of both North and South Korea lies. One day hopefully, the railroad will connect the two countries. Outside the Dorasan Station, stands a monument engraved with the names of the citizens of Korea who donated money in order to build parts of the railroad. The 3rd Tunnel was discovered on October 17, 1978. It is located 52km from Seoul.
It was estimated that it took approximately an hour for 10,000 soldiers to move through the tunnel.
When this tunnel was first discovered, North Koreans insisted it was made by South Koreans in a plot to invade North Korea. However, this theory proved eventually to be false.
Mini-Museum, it featured some interesting artifacts as well as interesting information.
At Dora Observatory Platform, North Korean military personnel are visible, and so are the highlights of Gaeseong and the Geumgangsan Diamond Mountains.
