Lukang
Tradition still remains strong in Lukang. Artisans can still be seen producing furniture with ancient tools and techniques. Incense is also made here and it is fascinating to watch the creation of enormous coils that hang from temple ceilings and burn for days. Fishing is the main source of income in this area. Yu Shan
Visitors to Taiwan are always enticed by the picturesque sight of the Yu Shan Mountain. Every year, thousands of visitors throng the park, some even come especially to hike up the steep slopes of the alpine. Permission from the Alpine Association of Taipei is required, however, together with proper attire and equipment. Yu Shan Park comprises the largest and most chaste national park in Taiwan, totaling 105,000 hectares. A diversity of vegetation and wildlife survive within the boundaries of the park. Taiwan's largest mammals live comfortably in this park because of the restraints on development to the park. The Formosan muntjac, serow, black bear, and macaque are among the animals that can be found in the park.
