Peitou
Peitou, meaning Northern Sojourn, was influenced by Japanese officers and magistrates who converted the town into a resort at the turn of the century. Many Japanese frequent this town to experience its therapeutic hot springs and massages. Most hotels in the area have hot sulfur-spring water that runs straight from the tap into mini tubs. Massage services are provided after a stimulating dip at the hot tub.
Chen Memorial Garden The garden is renown for its peaceful and quiet surroundings. The garden is the pathway that leads up to Phoenix Mountain. Spectacular views of Taipei, Peitou, and the surrounding areas can be seen up on the mountain. This is an excellent trekking site for activity lovers, as there are well-marked signs and four different paths leading to Phoenix Mountain.
