Sultan's Cup Terengganu Endurance Challenge
(3-4 Aug)

This competition tests the endurance of the competing horses in four categories, i.e 120km, 80km, 40km and 26km. Some 15 countries such as Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Australia, UAE and US are expected to participate in this competition which happen to be the official trial race for FEI World Endurance 2008.

50 Years of Nationhood - Merdeka Month Celebration
(Aug 30)

August 31, 2007 commemorates Malaysia 's 50th year of independence or 'Merdeka'. This historic event is celebrated in joyous mood by Malaysians from all walks of life over a one month period. A host of activities is held in each state including parades, exhibitions of Malaysia's history and foreworks displays, culminating in a grand parade attended by Their Majesties; The King and Queen of Malaysia, Prime Minister, dignitaries and the public. A free open-air concert is held on the eve of Merdeka.

50 Years Nationhood - World Lion Dance Invitation
(3-5 Aug )

Enjoy a spectacular show by the best lion dance troupes invited from all over the world arranged especially in conjunction with Malaysia 's 50th Anniversary and for the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 campaign.

Malaysia International Fireworks Competition
(15-30 Aug)

Be amazed as the sky is lit up with impressive firework displays.

Mount Kinabalu International Climbathon
(25-26 Aug )

Touted as 'The World's Toughest Mountain Race', this race involves a run up and down the majestic Mount Kinabalu (4095.2). The total distance is 21km for all categories. The average climber takes two days to climb the mountain but participants of the race can make it in less than three hours. The race determines the ultimate Champion of the 7-series Federation for Sport at Altitude's (FSA) Skyrunning World Championship (racing on high altitude).
