Visitors can enter the farm through an arched gate less than one kilometer east of Lishan Village. A solarium of apple and pear orchards surrounds Western-style farmhouses. Villagers protect their fruits from birds and bees by wrapping them in bags individually. The fruits are sold when the season arrives. Wushe
Mountain palisades surround a reservoir in Wushe. The green-mirrored lake is a good example of a traditional Chinese landscape. Visitors can get to the lake following a trail that starts from the village. Shore fishing is allowed at the reservoir. Wushe became a landmark in Taiwan in 1930 when a bloody confrontation occurred between the local tribes and the Japanese forces. Many aboriginal lives were lost as compared to the Japanese. A memorial plaque in the village commemorates the massacre.
