Known as the temple of 'Ten Thousand Buddhas', Kek Lok Si Temple is one of the largest and most beautiful Buddhist temples in South East Asia. This acclaimed tourist landmark has charmed millions of people with it’s pagodas, pavilions, fish ponds, countless buddha statues and the towering bronze statue of the goddess of mercy (kuan yin).
Ascend the Penang Hill or Bukit Bendera via the funicular train up to 800 meters above sea level to escape the heat and enjoy the magnificent panoramic views of Georgetown and part of the mainland. Along the way, take in and appreciate the varied flora and maybe catch a glimpse of the elusive fauna. Penang Hill is Malaysia's oldest hill station and a place where residents and non –residents escape to seek respite from the lowland heat and humidity.
