Orang Utan Island & Taiping (Min 02 Pax) (Leisure Tour)
This tour entails a leisurely drive across South East Asia’s longest bridge (Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah bridge) to the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia from Penang island. An hour’s drive southbound along the North South Expressway brings you to the sleepy community of Bukit Merah town passing through small palm oil plantations and pineapple fields.
On arrival, board the ferry boat heading to the Orang Utan Island. Step ashore and amaze yourself with the ‘People of the Jungle’ or Orang Utan, an endangered species. Scientifically identified as very smart animals, Orang Utans have one of the longest birth intervals, on an average, once in every 8 years. Enjoy the hour & half at this dedicated rehabilitation sanctuary. Capture lots of photos for your remembrance. Continue your journey to Taiping, one of the charming old tin-mining town in Perak. Visit Perak Museum, one of the first and oldest museum in Malaysia. It was founded in 1883 by Sir Hugh Low, the fourth British Resident of Perak. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning back to Penang.
