Meikhtila Introduction
Meiktila is a city in central Myanmar, situated around the banks of Lake Meiktila in Mandalay Division, in the junctions from the Bagan-Taunggyi, Yangon-Mandalay and Meiktila-Myingyan freeways. Due to its proper position, Meiktila hosts Myanmar Air Force's central command and Meiktila Air Pressure Base. The nation's primary aerospace engineering college, Myanmar Aerospace Engineering College can also be situated in Meiktila.
Meiktila district is regarded as the easterly in the districts in Myanmar's central dry zone. It lies between Wundwin, Myingyan, Yamethin, and touches Shan Condition round the east. The primary feature in the region Lake Meiktila, a guy-made irrigation and water reservoir, 7 miles (11 km) extended, .5 miles (.80 km) wide. Mondai dam supplies water for the lake.
