- Pick up from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu, transfer to the airport for a short domestic flight to Sandakan. (self book flight ETA Sandakan before 8am) for a
excursion to visit Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre to see
orang utans in the forest. Lunch included. Late afternoon by 1330 hrs,
we depart , we drive for about 30mins, to reach a fisherman village.
Upon arrival at the village, enjoy a simple welcome tea with local
snacks. Then, a briefing about the village activities. Houses are built
on stilts and it is very interesting to walk around the village. Very
often, kids will be having their play time at this hour and please feel
free to join them in some of the interesting village games. After that,
proceed to a boat cruise to learn more about the mangrove forests and a
chance to plant trees in the area. A good chance to see macaques, birds, reptiles and other wildlife toward later part of the afternoon. After cruise, return to jetty and transfer to Sandakan airport for your return flight to Kota Kinabalu. Transfer back to your hotel by 1900 hrs.
