How to Get There
Permai Rainforest Resort can arrange transportation for individuals or group of any size. However, if you wish to make your own arrangements, these are the options:

Daily Schedule: From Kuching City - 7.00 AM, 10.00 AM, 1.00 PM and 6.00 PM
Rate: RM 3.00 - RM 4.00 (USD 0.80 - 1.00) per person
Travelling Time: 60-75 Minutes
30 minutes on from the last stop. Watch out for Permai Rainforest Resort signs.

THE TREE HOUSES - 10 Units
Single units built upon stilts 20 feet above the ground placing you in the forest canopy. The units sleep 2 and have either a Queen sized bed or 2 Super Single sized beds. These units are air conditioned and have ensuite bathrooms. Soap, towels, tea & coffee making facilities and a fridge with drinks are provided.

Sleeping amongst the trees and waking to the sound of the sea lapping against the shore is an experience not to be missed. Perfect for romantic couples and small families or anyone who needs to unwind.

CABINS - 23 Units

Spread out through the resort under the trees, these units are ideal for families or groups offering affordable accommodation that is practical and comfortable and in a setting that cannot be beaten.

SINGLE STOREY CABINS

Each cabin has 2 rooms with 3 beds in each and a wash area which consists of a separate toilet, shower and wash basin. All units have tea & coffee making facilities, a refrigerator and hot shower.

Some of these cabins have BBQ pits and a large veranda space for cooking. If you wish to have a BBQ please request such cabins when making your reservations.

DOUBLE STOREY CABIN
The double storey cabin can accommodate up to 10 persons in 3 bedrooms. There are 2 bathrooms, one on each floor. The cabin has bunk beds in the two ground floor bedrooms and single beds on the seconf floor sleeping area.

CAMPING SITE
For those seeking even more intimate contact with nature in the rainforest nothing surpasses camping. Our campsite is located towards the end of the resort, where campers can enjoy quiet, privacy and a sense of being immersed in wilderness. The campsite is well supported with toilets and showers, and lighting. It can accommodate up to 80 people. Bring your own tent or sleeping bag as these facilities are not provided.

Room Facilities:

Permai Rainforest Resort offers an alternative to standard ‘hotel-type’ accommodation. The accommodation consists mainly of stand alone-units, designed and built to provide guests the opportunity to experience the peace and tranquillity of the rainforest. The units are are well spread out to ensure privacy, and are simple, clean and comfortable. In line with our ‘Back to Nature, Back to Basics’ concept, only selected modern conveniences are provided

Rainforest  Cafe
The cafe is located on the hillside and provides an excellent view of the seaside. In the evenings, the view of the sunset is breathtaking. It is also mostly surrounded by trees so you can get to see squirrels and birds and occasionally a whip snake slithering through the trees.

Most of our set menus consist of local dishes however we will tailor the meals to any requirement. Western and vegetarian meals are available. If you are looking to do something really memorable, try our barbeque and buffet on the beach at sunset. All prepared food is halal and cooked without the use of Monosodium Glutamate (MSG).
The cafe serves a range of local dishes such as garlic butter prawns, midin belacan, ayam pansoh and roti canai. Some of these dishes are exclusively Sarawakian and are cooked the local way - simple, spicy and tasty using fresh local ingredients.

We provide meals at locations all over the resort in addition to serving meals at the cafe. Refreshments can be delivered to the training areas as well as to the conference rooms. We have a cafe capable of seating up to 150 persons. If necessary we have an alternate venue for dining in our Jungle hall that can seat 200 persons.
If you have a group or are an individual with special dietary requirements please let us know so we can prepare your meals to your liking.

We have three Training rooms of different sizes, suitable for any indoor activity. Named after bays along the Damai coastline, the training rooms are:

Belian Room - Capacity 120 persons (Theatre Style)
Embang Room - Capacity 40 persons (Theatre Style)


All conference rooms are air-conditioned and are located within 1 minute's walk of the Rainforest Cafe. Use of the conference rooms include the standard conference facilities you would expect in a modern conference room such as P.A. system, a LCD projector flip charts and whiteboards.

JUNGLE HALL

This hall is an open building capable of seating 200 people in a theatre style setting or to serve 130 people for dining. A great venue for anything from discussions to opening ceremonies and games to yoga classes.
