However the main attraction nearest to us is Mount Kinabalu measuring 4,101 meters, the highest mountain in South East Asia. Mount Kinabalu is located within the Kinabalu Park, Kinabalu Park is a paradise for naturalists, botanists and mountaineers.
Kinabalu Rose Cabin is a hotel situated just nearby Mount Kinabalu, only a 2 minutes ride you will be at the foot of Mount Kinabalu. We are about 1½ - 2 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu, the Sabah's state capital.
Sabah, covers an area of 76,115 square kilometer, is the second largest state in Malaysia with the population of 2.8 million comprising of 32 ethnic groups and other non-indigenous people speaking 80 local dialects. The main indigenous group are the Kadazandusun, Muruts, Bajaus, Kedayans, Sulu, Bisaya, Rumanau, Minokok, and Rungus. They are all interwoven by culture, tradition, marriage and language.
Sabah's terrain is rugged, with Mt. Kinabalu, at 4,905 metres, dominates the surrounding landscape. It has a wide diversity of flora and fauna, as well as one of the world's largest rainforests.
